Motivation

  Recently, a new type of coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) spread all over the world because it is easy to be transmitted from person to person. The infection has spread also in Japan. To suppress this epidemic, the government declared a state of emergency.

  This virus is characterized by difficulty in controlling the infection. Actually, many cluster infections and asymptomatic patients infect other people without recognizing it. Therefore, it is necessary for the infected person to avoid contact with others in order to control the infection. However, it is impossible for all people to break contact with others, regardless of whether they are infected or not. In that case, it is better to cut off contact at least for the infected people. For that purpose, it is necessary to check whether the person is infected or not. However, the current situation is that the number of tests for infected people has not caught up.

 Currently, PCR test is mainly conducted for testing but there are problems, and the need for dedicated and expensive machines such as thermal cyclers. Also, a person with special knowledge is needed. In order to increase the number of inspections, We thought that a new detection method is needed to solve these problems.
